MAARE TÆNDSTIKFABRIK

1886 - 1888
v/ N.P. Løve, Maare pr. Ørbæk, Funen

In 1886  Niels Peder Løve established a match factory at Maare, southeast of Odense. Lion tried in 1888 to get ready to exhibit at the Industrial Exhibition in Copenhagen, but he had to repeatedly apply for postponement of delivery of the material for his stand and eventually became this void. The application told Løve that he had 14 employees at the factory. We have not found any information about the factory, but there is a label from Nyborg Tændstikfabrik and this could be identical to Løve's factory. This especially since Løve were somewhat confused about the name of his match factory - as evidenced by the picture below, he calls himself the factory for "Maare Match Factory" in the notification of the Industrial Exhibition in 1888, but the head of his letterhead in the correspondence indicates "NP Løve match Factory ". The label from Nyborg, we have tried in vain to get more information about.

Det afsluttende brev fra N.P. Løve, som tilsyneladende aldrig fik gjort sig færdig
